What Level of health insurance do I and my family qualify for and need?
- Based on your attested current year adjusted gross income on your personal 1040 tax return line #37 you may be eligible for the Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) subsidizing your cost of insurance for you and your family. This monthly subsidy is sent by the ACA government program directly to the insurance carrier of your choice to offset the gross monthly cost of the insurance plan. Your share of cost is the balance due and is a monthly bill paid by you and sent directly to the insurance carrier at the same time each month. The attested year for determine the subsidy is 2015.
- You may also be eligible for Medicaid if your income is less than 138% below the current year listed poverty level of income. In which you are placed within the No-Cost Federal Group Medical Insurance plan via United Health Care in the State of Nevada via Medicaid.
- In the event your income is ABOVE 400% of the current year listed poverty level of income you may apply for ON or OFF exchange individual health insurance at the full cost to you and your family. There are many carriers, plan designs and networks to research on-line. Since this requires a lot of time and attention to detail let me help you navigate this matrix of choices quickly.
